Jesse McElheran, R. Psych. at J. Gordon Psychology Group
Description
I am a Registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (#4539). I have both my Masters and PhD (conferred June 2024) in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. For the last 15 years I have trained and worked in a variety of mental health settings. I have extensive experience in health psychology and grief counselling and I have a specialized interest in women's mental health (depression, anxiety, grief/loss, fertility concerns, perinatal mental health, and changes brought by cancer).
Working with me, you will find someone who deeply wants to understand your unique experience and all the factors that have shaped who you are. I use an integrative counselling approach drawing from my diverse background and skills to develop a therapeutic experience personalized to your needs and counselling goals. My goal is to hold you with compassion while offering a firm but gentle hand in helping you navigate whatever changes life holds. At the centre of my practice is a core belief that you are capable of healing, development, and integration, and I will strive to help you see that possibility within yourself. I look forward to talking with you to see if I am the right fit for you.
